Dhatus denote the structural components of the body.
There are seven dhatus in the body. There is a "Guest and host" relationship between dosas and dhatus.
Dosas denote the function or physiology where as dhatus denote the structure or anatomy.
Malas are waste products.
Seven dhatus are

1)Rasa = Plasma 

2)Rakta = Blood

3)Mamsa = Muscle

 4)Medas = Fat

5)Asthi= Bone and cartilage

6)Majja = bone marrow

7)Sukra =Reproducrory fluids
