PANCHAKARMA There are three main modes of treatment in Ayurveda They are 1. Cleansing of metabolic wastes (sodhana) 2. Pacification of excess dosas (shamana) and 3. Rejuvenation of the seven bodily tissues (Brmhana) Panchakarma concerns itself with sodhana. Metabolic wastes include the excessive oily quality of pitta and kapha. This is known as ama or mala. This ama is said to be the cause of all metabolic diseases. Pancha means five and karma means actions. The five karmas, or therapeutic actions, are defined in a slightly different way by different Ayurvedic authors. Susruta (500 B.C) was a master surgeon. He placed a strong emphasis on blood (rakta) and its role in health and disease. His five categories include 1) Vamana (Therapeutic Vomiting) 2) Virechana (Therapeutic Purgation) 3) Basti (both oily and non oily enemas) 4) Nasya (nasal medication) and 5) Rakta rnoksana (blood letting) This all panchakarma scientifically and traditionally done in our Nashik Shree Vishwavallabh best ayurvedic panchakarma and Garbhasanskar center panchavati. 9860633147
